Why Redesign
A Better Website, Without Starting Over in Google
Most businesses invest in website redesign services for good reasons. The site looks dated, it is hard to use on a phone, it is slow, it no longer matches the brand, or it simply does not turn visitors into leads. A website redesign can fix all of that and lift conversion rates for years.
The risk is that a redesign done by a team that does not understand SEO can quietly erase what the old site had earned. URLs change without redirects, content gets cut to make a layout look clean, title tags turn generic and internal links disappear. The new site launches looking great, and three weeks later the phone stops ringing.
Our website redesign services are built around avoiding that. We have designed websites since 1998 and taught SEO since 2003, so we treat your current rankings as an asset to protect, not an afterthought. The new design, navigation and user experience improve, and the search equity carries over.

Watch the Warning
How a Website Redesign Went Badly
In this Internet Marketing Clinic episode, Beth Guide walks through a real redesign that another agency handled for an international Italy travel company, what broke, and how to keep it from happening to you.
Before that redesign, the travel site ranked for roughly 25,000 keywords, with 109 in the top three results and more than 1,000 on the first page of Google. After the flip, it ranked for about 5,000 keywords, with 35 in the top three and about 200 on page one. Page one visibility dropped by about 80 percent.
Nothing about the new site looked broken. The damage was underneath: generic title tags, a vague menu with no dropdowns for Google to follow, headings spent on phrases that described nothing, missing meta descriptions, and old URLs that were neither kept nor redirected. Links the site had earned from respected sources pointed to pages that no longer existed.
Beth also describes a company doing hundreds of thousands of dollars a month online that asked a designer to just make the site look better. After the relaunch, monthly sales fell to a small fraction of what they had been. Both stories have the same cause: a redesign planned for looks alone.
What We Protect
What a Careless Redesign Breaks
These are the pieces that quietly carry your rankings. Every one of them is on our checklist before, during and after launch.
Title tags
Specific, keyword-rich titles replaced with generic ones like Home or Trip Type.
Navigation
Clear menus with dropdowns swapped for vague labels that give Google nothing to follow.
Headings
H1 and H2 headings spent on slogans instead of the searches the page should win.
Meta descriptions
Descriptions left blank, so search results show random text instead of a reason to click.
URLs and redirects
Old URLs deleted or changed without redirects, breaking bookmarks and every link pointing in.
Internal links
Silos and related-page links stripped out, so strong pages stop passing strength to the rest.
If you ever launch a redesign and traffic drops sharply, the fastest fix is often to put the old site back first and diagnose second. Rankings recover faster from a quick reversal than from weeks of guessing. We plan every redesign so that option is always available.
Signs It Is Time
When a Website Redesign Makes Sense
One of these is a reason to look closely. Three or more usually means a redesign will pay for itself.
It looks dated
Visitors judge credibility in seconds. An old design makes a good business look out of date.
It fails on phones
If the site is not responsive and fast on a phone, Google and your customers both notice.
It is slow
Slow pages lose visitors before they read a word and hurt Core Web Vitals.
It does not convert
Traffic without calls or forms usually points to layout, messaging and calls to action.
It is hard to update
If every change needs a developer, the site falls behind your business.
Your brand has changed
New services, a new logo or a new market deserve a website that tells the current story.
The Benefits
What a Website Redesign Should Do for Your Business
A sharper brand identity
Branding, aesthetics and messaging that match who you are today and the audience you want to reach.
More conversions and growth
Clear calls to action and faster pages turn more visitors into leads and sales.
Better performance
Faster load times and cleaner code improve Core Web Vitals, SEO and engagement.
A better experience for users
Thoughtful UX and UI design so visitors find what they need without thinking about it.
Modern functionality and integrations
Forms, booking, CRM and ecommerce integrations that work with the tools your business runs on.
A CMS your team can use
A content management system that lets your team update pages without a developer.
Our approach puts strategy before aesthetics. Every website redesign project starts with research: your business goals, your audience, your competitors and what your analytics say users actually do on the current site. That research drives the UX, the structure and the website design, so the new look supports the results you need instead of fighting them.
The work is handled by one in-house team of designers, developers, writers and SEO experts who have redesigned sites across many industries, from professional services and healthcare to manufacturing, ecommerce and local service businesses. You get a clear project timeline, a single point of contact and ongoing support after launch, because a redesign is the start of better website development, not the end of it.
Scope That Fits
Website Redesign Services for Every Size Company
Small business websites
A focused redesign of 5 to 30 pages: sharper design, clearer services, faster load times and stronger calls to action, often reusing the content that already ranks.
Growing company websites
Larger sites with service silos, location pages, blogs and integrations, where the redirect map and content migration matter most.
Ecommerce websites
Store redesigns that protect product and category URLs, keep reviews and structured data intact and improve checkout.
Project scope drives everything: the timeline, the cost and the level of risk to your rankings. A small business website with a handful of well-ranked pages needs a careful, light touch. A larger company website with hundreds of pages needs a full content inventory, a detailed redirect plan and a staged launch. We size every redesign to the complexity of the site and tell you plainly which approach fits.
Whatever the size, the same rules apply. Keep what works, fix what does not, and never launch without knowing exactly where every old URL goes. That is the difference between a redesign agency that makes your website look better and one that makes your business grow.
How We Work
Our Website Redesign Process
1. Audit and benchmark
We record every URL, ranking, backlink and conversion path on your current site so nothing is lost by accident.
2. Strategy and sitemap
We map the new site structure, decide which pages stay, merge or grow, and plan redirects for anything that moves.
3. Wireframes and prototype
You see the layout, navigation and user flow before design, when changes are quick to make.
4. UX and UI design
A responsive design in your brand, built around clear calls to action and a better user experience.
5. Build and migrate
We build in WordPress and Elementor Pro, carry over content and SEO settings, and set up every redirect.
6. Test, launch and monitor
We test on real devices, launch, and watch rankings, traffic and leads closely in the weeks after.

Before You Hire Anyone
Questions to Ask a Website Redesign Agency
Do you know SEO?
Everyone says yes. Ask how they handle titles, headings, redirects and internal links during a redesign.
Can I see your work in search?
Look at their clients’ title tags, headings and menus, not just the screenshots.
How many redesigns have you done?
Ask how many site flips they have completed and what happened to rankings after launch.
Can I call those clients?
A confident agency will connect you with past redesign clients who will talk about results.
We cover these and more in our guide to hiring a web designer. If you want a second opinion on your current site before you decide, start with a free website audit.
FAQ
Website Redesign Questions
It can if URLs, titles, headings, content and internal links change without a plan. We benchmark your rankings and URLs first, keep the pages that carry links, map redirects for anything that moves, and monitor closely after launch so your search equity carries over.
It depends on the size of the site, how much content changes, whether we rewrite copy and whether we are moving platforms. We scope your project first and give you one number in writing before work starts.
Design and build time is predictable. The schedule usually depends on content reviews and approvals. You get a written schedule at kickoff with the dates we need feedback and content from you.
If the site ranks well, a redesign that keeps URLs and content structure is usually the safer path. If the platform is limiting or the site barely ranks, a full rebuild may cost less over time. We look at your data before recommending either.
Act quickly. Check redirects, titles, headings and missing content first. If the drop is severe, restoring the previous site while you diagnose is often the fastest way to recover. We can review a redesign done elsewhere and find what broke.
Yes. We regularly move sites from Wix, Squarespace and older platforms to WordPress, with a redirect plan so the move does not cost you rankings.
Yes. We build on WordPress with Elementor Pro, so your team can edit text, images and pages without calling a developer.
