POLITICAL CONSULTING
Political Consulting for Texas Campaigns and Campaign Marketing
Your race has a lot of moving parts online, and they work best when one team runs them. We build your campaign website, shape what voters find when they search your name, and handle direct voter contact by email, text and phone, with the compliance details in order.

WE ACTUALLY WANT TO WIN
Why does it matter whether your consultant cares about the result?
There is a lot of apathy in political consulting right now. Too many firms sell every race the same package, lose touch with the voters and coast until the next client comes along. We do not work that way. Beth Guide’s line for this practice is simple: we actually want to win.
That means we advise you, we tell you when a plan will not move voters, and we stay close to the people who cast the ballots. We read the voter file, answer the texts that come back and watch what people search, so your plan reflects real voters, not guesses. You get straight advice even when the honest answer means spending less with us. And we do not call a campaign a success because the work shipped. We call it a success when you win.
Beth came to campaign work through the same door as everything else at Vertical Web: someone asked her to fix a problem. A candidate’s search results and AI answers were wrong, she knew how to fix it, and the practice grew from there into websites, reputation, outreach and compliance. A political site she structured herself started picking up searches within weeks with no links behind it, which is the clearest proof she knows of that structure beats spending.
CAMPAIGN DIGITAL STRATEGY
What does a campaign's digital operation need to cover?
Most voters meet your campaign on a screen before they meet you in person. They search your name, skim your website and read whatever an AI engine says about you. Then they decide if you are worth a second look. That gives your digital operation four jobs.
A campaign website
Accurate, fast and built by a professional web design team, with donations, volunteers and the Texas disclosure built in.
Correct search and AI answers
Search results and AI summaries about you need to be right, and your own pages need to be the sources they trust.
Protect your name
When a story turns against you, a response plan and message discipline across every channel.
The fourth job is reaching voters directly, on their phones and in their inboxes, when timing matters most. Many campaigns split those jobs across four or five vendors. The web person blames the email vendor. The texting shop waits on the data vendor. Nobody owns the result. We run political campaign marketing as one operation, so every piece shares the same message, the same calendar and the same opt-out list.
You still set the strategy. Your campaign manager, general consultant or treasurer stays in charge of the big calls. We handle the build, the search work, the sends and the paperwork. We work on races across Texas, from Houston and its suburbs out to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton. The expertise is the same in every market. What changes is the voter file, the media mix and the local calendar, so what we recommend in Harris County is not what we recommend in Tarrant or Bexar.
SEARCH, AI AND REPUTATION
What political consulting services does Vertical Web offer?
Every service links to a full page of its own. Start with political campaign website design if you need a site, because it is the one source about you that you fully control. For the big picture on search, read about political SEO and reputation management, or go straight to political SEO for candidates for rankings. If a chatbot is telling voters the wrong thing, see AI search clean-up for candidates. When a story breaks, political crisis management gives you a response plan, and political social media management keeps your accounts, content and comments on message.

Crisis and social
Rapid response when a story breaks, plus campaign social accounts managed day to day.
VOTER OUTREACH
How do campaigns reach voters directly?
Our voter outreach services bring email, text, calls and data together as one program. Voter data and email append builds the list behind every channel. Political text messaging covers peer-to-peer and MMS with real people on the replies. Political email marketing writes a campaign calendar in your candidate’s voice, and political robocalls reach landline voters with recorded calls, IVR surveys and voicemail drops. Compliance runs underneath all of it, from 10DLC registration to disclosures, in our email and SMS compliance for campaigns checklist.
Bulk email
Authenticated, high-volume sends that land in the inbox. Bulk email for campaigns.
10DLC and Campaign Verify
A plain-English 10DLC guide and registration help.
Party outreach
Republican voter outreach and Democrat voter outreach built on Texas primary history.
THE CASE FOR VERTICAL WEB ON POLITICAL CONSULTING
One firm for your campaign's digital side
Taught by the teacher
Since 2003, Beth Guide has taught SEO at HCC, Lone Star College, the University of Houston SBDC and the SBA, and she is a familiar technology expert on Fox 26.
One team, one phone call
Your website, hosting, search work and voter contact all live under one roof. When a problem shows up, our in-house team fixes it.
Straight talk on spending
Managing over $1M in PPC each year shows us what it costs to reach one person. When a tactic is a poor fit for your district, you hear it first.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Which campaigns and committees do we work with?
We take on campaigns from either party, and our work is strictly nonpartisan. What one client gives us, from voter lists to draft messages to results, stays with that client. Our clients range from grassroots county races to statewide committees.
Local and county candidates
City council, school board and county commissioner races often turn on name recognition. We help first-time candidates show up clearly and reach voters in their precincts.
State and federal candidates
Legislative and congressional races cover more ground and draw more press. One plan covers the website, search, AI answers and outreach.
Judicial candidates
Judicial races come with their own conduct rules and a quieter tone. We keep messages factual and dignified and route rule questions to your counsel.
Campaign managers and consultants
If you run strategy, we can be your digital shop. You keep the client relationship and the big decisions.
PACs and ballot measure committees
Issue sites, supporter lists and texting registration for committees that qualify.
Officeholders between elections
Your name keeps getting searched after you win. We keep profiles current and watch what search and AI engines say.
THE CAMPAIGN CALENDAR
How does the digital work change over a campaign cycle?
- Announcement. Your website goes live with a clear bio, a sign-up form and a donate path. We set up your profiles so your name appears the same way everywhere, and record what search and AI engines already say about you.
- Filing and early organizing. Once you file, you become easier to search and easier to attack. We build issues and endorsements pages, grow your supporter list and register your texting program.
- Primary and runoff. Primary voters are the target universe, and a Texas runoff can extend the race when no candidate wins a majority. We plan email, text and call sequences around early voting and keep a runoff plan ready.
- General election. Your audience widens, and so does the scrutiny. We broaden messaging, watch your search results and AI answers closely, and handle rapid response.
- After the election. Win or lose, your name keeps showing up in search. We update your site, clean up outdated claims and keep your supporter list healthy.
WORKING TOGETHER
What should you expect when you hire a political consulting firm?
Bringing in a firm in the middle of a race should lower your stress, not add to it. One point of contact owns your digital communications from the first call. We are nonpartisan, and your data stays yours, including any demographics and analytics we build from your voter file. We never reuse, sell or share it.
Web design and development is what we do every day, so your campaign site never waits on an outside developer. We build it on WordPress, host it on our own servers and keep watch during busy stretches like debates and early voting. Texas requires disclosures on political advertising, and carriers require registration before a campaign texts from standard numbers, so we build disclosures into your site, emails, texts and call scripts. This is not legal advice, so have your treasurer or counsel sign off on final wording. Spanish-language email, texts and recorded scripts are available for districts where voters prefer Spanish.
Every touch, one message
How digital, direct mail and influencer outreach fit one campaign strategy for our clients
Voters do not separate your channels the way vendors do. A household might get a direct mail piece on Monday, see your name in a search result on Tuesday, read a text on Wednesday and hear about you from a local influencer on Friday. If those touches say different things, the campaign looks disorganized. If they say the same thing, each one makes the next one stronger.
We run the digital side and coordinate with your direct mail vendor, your field team and your general consultant so the message, the timing and the calls to action match. When a mail piece goes out, the website page it points to is ready, the search results for your name are clean and the text follow-up is scheduled. That kind of communication between vendors is where many campaigns lose ground, and it is the gap one digital team closes.
The strategy changes by race and by location. A state senate race, a congressional race and a county commissioner race each have a different voter universe and a different media mix. What works in Harris County is not what works in a rural district. We build the plan around your voter file and your election calendar, not a package.
Trusted voices
What is an influencer in a political campaign, and should your race use one?
An influencer is anyone whose opinion a group of voters already trusts: a local pastor, a business owner, a neighborhood group leader, a radio host or someone with a strong social media following in your district. In politics, the most useful influencers are usually local, not famous. A few hundred engaged followers who live in your district can matter more than a large audience that cannot vote for you.
Influencer outreach works best as part of a larger plan. Give trusted voices accurate information, a clear message and a page on your campaign website they can link to. Follow disclosure rules when any payment is involved, and keep a record of who is speaking for the campaign. Your counsel should review any paid arrangement before it starts.
We work with Republicans and Democrats, and our work is strictly nonpartisan between clients. Our political social media team helps plan influencer and social outreach, and our voter outreach services handle the direct contact by email, text and phone. For the rules on text programs, see campaign verification for political texting.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Political consulting questions
A political consultant helps a campaign plan how to reach voters and then carries out that plan. Some focus on polling and overall strategy. Vertical Web focuses on the digital side: your website, your search results, what AI engines say about you, and direct contact by email, text and phone. We work alongside your campaign manager or general consultant, or serve as your main digital team.
No. We are a nonpartisan firm that serves candidates and committees from either party. We never take a policy stance for you or anyone else, and your lists, messages and results stay private to your team.
It turns on the size of your district, the services you need and how close you are to Election Day. A county race that needs a website and a few text sends looks very different from a statewide email program. Schedule a consultation and we will recommend only what makes sense for your budget.
No. Our offices are in the Galleria, Kingwood and Cypress, and we know Harris, Montgomery and Fort Bend counties well. We also serve campaigns across Texas, including Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton County races, and in other states.
Texas voter files come from county voter registrars and the Texas Secretary of State. We build your universe from that file, then match email addresses and phone numbers using third-party sources. Texas law limits voter registration data to political use, never commercial.
Yes. Many campaigns come to us after launch, often because a website is slow, search results look wrong or a texting program got blocked. We fix the most urgent problems first and plan the rest around your remaining calendar. We will not rebuild what already works.
Yes. We record and send political robocalls, voicemail drops and IVR polls, scripted to follow FCC rules on caller identification and opt-outs. Calls work best alongside email and text, not on their own.
An influencer is someone voters in your district already trust, such as a local leader, business owner or social media voice. Local influencers often matter more than famous ones.
We run the digital side and coordinate with your direct mail vendor so the message, timing and website pages match every mail piece.
Yes. We take on campaigns from either party, and what one client gives us stays with that client.
Let's talk about your race
Tell us the office, the district and the date on the ballot. We will look at your website and search results, then show you where to put your time and money first.
