Political Social Media
Political Social Media Management for Texas Campaigns
Most voters meet your campaign in a feed long before they meet you at a door. We run the accounts, make the content and answer the comments, so your team can stay out talking to voters.

Social and the Ballot
Why does a campaign need managed social media?
Campaign social media fails in a predictable way. It starts strong in the first month, then the volunteer running it gets busy, posting goes quiet for two weeks, the comments pile up unanswered, and by the time anyone looks again the account reads as abandoned. Voters notice that. So do reporters.
The work is not hard so much as relentless. Something has to go out most days, it has to look like it came from the same campaign each time, and somebody has to be watching when a voter asks a real question at nine at night or when a bad comment starts collecting replies.
That is what managed political social media buys you. Not more posts for their own sake, but a steady presence, a consistent voice, and a real person watching the accounts while your candidate is at a block walk. It works best alongside the rest of your digital program, which is why we run it in the same shop as political SEO and voter outreach.
We have run social accounts for Houston businesses for years through our social media services. A campaign is the same discipline on a shorter clock and with more people watching.
Platforms We Run
- Facebook page and paid social
- Instagram feed, Stories and Reels
- TikTok short-form video
- X for rapid response
- YouTube for longer video and policy explainers
- Nextdoor where your race is local
What We Produce
What do you actually post for a campaign?
Made for your district and your candidate. Nothing generic, nothing recycled from another campaign.
Branded Graphics
Announcements, endorsements, event promotion and voting deadlines, all built to one look so somebody scrolling recognizes your campaign before they read the words.
Short-Form Video
Vertical video cut for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. Event footage, a policy answer in plain language, and the informal clips that tend to travel further than the polished ones.
Captions and Calls to Action
Copy written to be read on a phone in about three seconds, ending with something specific to do: register, volunteer, show up, share, give.
A Real Calendar
Planned around your events, filing dates, early voting and election day, approved by your team in advance so nothing goes out that somebody has not read.
How It Runs
How does managed campaign social media work week to week?
A weekly rhythm with daily monitoring underneath it.
1. Plan the week
We build the calendar around what your campaign is actually doing that week, send it over for approval, and leave room for whatever comes up.
2. Make the content
Graphics, video and copy get produced and scheduled. Your team sees everything before it publishes, and nothing goes live without a yes.
3. Watch the accounts
Comments, messages and mentions get monitored daily. Real questions get real answers, supporters get acknowledged, and anything that needs the candidate gets escalated fast.
4. Report what happened
Monthly numbers tied to what you care about: reach, follower growth, engagement, and clicks through to volunteer, donate and voter registration pages.
Why Choose Vertical Web
The Case for Our Team on Campaign Social
Plenty of people will post for you. Here is what is different about doing it here.
Hire the people other marketers learn from
Beth Guide has taught digital marketing for the SBA, the University of Houston SBDC, Lone Star College and HCC since 2003, and appears as a technology expert on Fox 26. The strategy is not guesswork.
One accountable team
Social, the website, hosting, content and search all sit under one roof here. Nobody points at another vendor when a landing page and a post need to go live together.
We know what attention costs
We manage more than $1M in annual PPC. When you put money behind a post we can tell you what a click and a sign-up should actually cost, and whether you are getting it.
We are still here
In business since 1998, Certified Google Partner, 4.9 Google rating, First Place triple honors in Best of West Houston 2025, and the client who hired us in 1998 is still with us.
Ads and Rules
What are the rules for political content on social platforms?
Political advertising is treated differently from ordinary advertising on every major platform, and the rules change. This is the part campaigns get wrong most often.
Verification comes before spending
Platforms that accept political ads generally require the advertiser to verify identity and location before anything runs, and that process takes time you will not have the week before early voting. We start it early. It is the same lesson as phone and text programs, where campaign verification has to be finished before a single message sends.
Disclaimers are not optional
Paid political content carries a disclosure requirement, and your state and local rules sit on top of whatever the platform asks for. We build the disclaimer into the creative rather than bolting it on, and we keep the records the platforms retain publicly anyway.
Organic and paid are different animals
An organic post reaches the people who already follow you. Paid reaches people who do not, which is usually the point. The two need different copy, and treating a boosted post as a strategy is how campaigns spend real money on people who were already voting for them. Where paid social sits next to search spending is a conversation worth having with our PPC team.
Email and text still do the heavy lifting
Social builds familiarity. Direct contact moves people. The campaigns that do best run social alongside political email marketing and text messaging, and use social to grow the lists those programs run on.
Honest Caveats
What social media will not do for a campaign
Followers are not voters
A big following in the wrong district wins nothing. We would rather have a small engaged audience inside your boundaries than a large one outside them, and we measure it that way.
It will not save a campaign with no message
Social media amplifies whatever you already have. If the message is not clear, posting more often makes the confusion louder. We will tell you when the problem is upstream of the feed.
You still have to be there
We can write, produce, schedule and monitor. We cannot be the candidate. The accounts that work have real moments from a real person in them, and that requires a few minutes of your week no matter who runs the account.
Straight answers
Political Social Media Management: Frequently Asked Questions
Usually fewer than people expect. For most local Texas races that means Facebook first, then whichever second platform matches your voters, and a third only if you can keep it fed. Two accounts done well beat five that go quiet.
We write them and you approve them. Most campaigns want the candidate’s own voice in some posts, so we set up a simple way for you to send raw thoughts or clips that we shape and schedule.
Yes, including the advertiser verification and the disclaimers. We will also tell you honestly when your budget is better spent on search or direct voter contact instead.
We watch for it and we do not take the bait. Legitimate questions get answered, bad-faith attacks usually get left alone or handled once, and anything that is turning into a real problem gets escalated to you the same day.
Less than you think, but not zero. Photos from events, a few minutes of video here and there, and a quick approval pass on the calendar is usually enough.
Yes. We are based in Houston with offices in the Galleria area and Kingwood, and we work with campaigns across Texas.
We work with candidates on both sides and we keep client work separate. What we will not do is run two opposing campaigns in the same race.
Earlier than most do. Building an audience takes months, and advertiser verification takes weeks. Starting the month before early voting means paying to reach people you could have earned.
Let Us Take the Feed Off Your Plate
Your campaign has enough jobs that only you can do. Posting every day is not one of them. Tell us about your race and we will show you what a managed program would look like and what it would cost.
